This website has to be one of the coolest things I’ve come across on the inter-t’web some at least a few days.
If you’ve ever been stuck inside a caravan with your family while it’s pouring down with rain outside, armed with only a pen, a piece of paper and a little bit of imagination – you’ll already be familiar with the concept…. You fold a piece of paper into 3 or 4 sections, you draw a section, fold it under, and then pass it on for someone else to continue.
Well, the game has now made it to the realm of the internet, where you can draw and then pass it on to anyone, anywhere. If they’ve got a computer with an internet connection, like.
of love, I’d say….?! Philadelphia’s Love Letter is an outdoor project created by the artist Stephen Powers. Some 50 mural paintings are positioned on walls and rooftops about the city, two thirds of which can be seen by the 160 odd thousand of commuters that use the city’s Market-Frankford elevated train line every day….
Following on the from Suzanne’s creative war theme, you will see what happens when the fight is taken off the screen to the streets of New York! Amazing video…
I wonder if my fellow creatives have ever found themselves faced with a revolution, a fight on their hands of screen proportions….? the rebellion infact, of their very own Flash creations….?
Perhaps not yet, but is it the sign of things to come!?
Some might say….“The Rise of the Machines”? as I recall a Terminator film subtitle once…
Hmmm, maybe not, but big things do always start off small…..
I don’t know about you but I have always possessed a keen desire to see just how San Francisco would look if it were to be moulded out of Jelly…. (or Jell-O as our Transatlantic friends call it…) My prayers have been answers! No longer the stuff of my imagination, it is in fact reality…thanks to artist Liz Hickok
She creates scale models of architectural elements, out of which she makes the moulds for the jelly, adds backdrops and dramatically lights the scenes from the back or underneath. Unfortunatly, given the nature of jelly, Liz’s hard work doesn’t last very long…Just click on the photo to see more fab photos… moulding a city out of jelly is one mean feat….
City view from Jelly-catraz..."The Rock" not as we know it
Seemingly there’s some degree of creativity when it comes to discarding a banana skin (be it purposely or accidental…)
….So much so that S. Astrid Bin has created a gallery website, London Bananas, that is completely dedicated to documenting where those pesky skins find themselves in our capital metropolis….
Slippy little sucker....
I know Manchester & London are 2 very different cities but I wonder if our fair city has the same volume of rogue fruit remains….? …I’ll keep an eye out.
This place is insane!!! Somehow the wall senses when people are walking by, and the wall of lights reacts. A cool idea in principle, unless, of course, the place is for those naughty ladies of the night…
