Justine Wright
Managing Director
Walsh Simmons, as the agency was previously known, had been in existence for 18 years. A strong brand, recognized for design and pioneering digital work and incubating successful dotcoms, such as laterooms.com, 2004 saw the original partners retire and a resultant MBO. Following 2 turbulent years of joint ownership, and with responsibly to the team, the deal secured to buy the agency and my own ambition, I solely acquired the business and set about a fundamental re-structure and re-alignment of the business, the Cuckoo project was underway. Today Cuckoo stands proud of its achievements; here are just some of our headlines:

Our incorporation and re-brand in 2008,was immensely successful. The new name was matched with a new attitude and inspiration to the team and myself. Things have never looked better and we are all extremely excited about the future.

Steve Wheatley
Deputy Managing Director
Responsible for the business development activities here at Cuckoo, Steve Wheatley has joined us from Manchester's Studio North, having previously worked at Chester-based Loines Furnival. He has built a reputation as one of our region's most effective business developers and as soon as we met him we were hooked. Steve will help us both enhance our offer to existing accounts and develop robust client acquisition processes.

Phil Rainey
Creative Director
Phil has ten years creative experience working at the highest level on digital and multimedia design and production. Phil implements his unique creative thinking on all his work. His clients have included CFS, Manchester United, British Glass, Norweb, Nike and the British Forces Post Office.

Suzanne Ault
Creative Director
Suzanne has worked in design for 8 years. She is an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated creative thinker with excellent graphic design ability. Her passion for typography and multi-media based projects provide a balanced approach to design. With both private and public sector experience Suzanne will play an essential part in successfully achieving your commercial objectives.

Oliver Thomas
Account Director
Ollie joined Cuckoo Design to provide experience and strength to the account management team. He has a strong direct response background, having worked on TV and national press campaigns for clients such as Tempur International and JML. Ollie graduated from University with a degree in Animation and understands the importance of creativity, communication and attention to detail.

James Senior
Operations Director
James has worked at the highest end of studio management for the last 20 years. He spent 10 years at Ocean Software before joining Cuckoo Design 8 years ago. James' specialism in traditional artwork and print management processes affords our clients excellent quality assurance and consistency of output. James is the agency hub, bringing project management to conclusion.
